These terms explain the rules for using Tipsy Chat, what you can expect from the service and what we expect from you.

  1. Agreement

    These terms form a binding agreement between you and Tipsy Chat covering your use of tipsy-chat.net and the companion chat service.

  2. Acceptance

    By accessing the site or creating an account you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service.

  3. Adults only

    Tipsy Chat is available exclusively to people aged 18 or older. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement.

  4. Fictional nature of companions

    All companions are fictional characters. Portraits are generated images and do not depict real people, and nothing on this site should be read as describing a real individual.

  5. Entertainment purpose

    Tipsy Chat is provided for entertainment and companionship. It is not a counselling, medical, legal or financial service.

  6. No professional advice

    Companion replies must never be relied upon as professional advice. If you need help in any of those areas, consult a qualified professional.

  7. Emergencies

    Tipsy Chat cannot respond to emergencies. If you or someone else is at risk, contact your local emergency services immediately.

  8. Account registration

    You agree to provide accurate registration details and to keep them up to date.

  9. Account security

    You are responsible for your login credentials and for all activity that takes place under your account.

  10. One account per person

    Accounts are personal. You may not share, sell, rent or transfer your account to anyone else.

  11. Acceptable use

    You agree not to use Tipsy Chat for unlawful purposes, harassment of other users, or any attempt to disrupt the service.

  12. Prohibited content

    You may not submit content that is illegal, involves minors in any sexual context, promotes violence, or infringes the rights of others.

  13. Automated access

    Scraping, crawling, bulk downloading, reverse engineering and automated interaction with the service are not permitted.

  14. Security testing

    You may not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service or attempt to bypass authentication or rate limits.

  15. Content you submit

    You keep ownership of the messages you write and grant Tipsy Chat a limited licence to process and store them so the service can function.

  16. Generated replies

    Replies are produced automatically and may be inaccurate, repetitive or unexpected. They are supplied as they are, without any promise of accuracy.

  17. Intellectual property

    The site design, text, imagery, character concepts, code and the Tipsy Chat name are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law.

  18. Limited licence to you

    You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Tipsy Chat for your own private, non-commercial purposes.

  19. Restrictions on reuse

    Copying, republishing or commercially exploiting material from Tipsy Chat without written permission is not permitted.

  20. Subscriptions

    Where paid features are offered, the price, billing period and included features are shown before you confirm any purchase.

  21. Billing and renewal

    Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled beforehand through your account settings.

  22. Cancellation

    You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future charges and access continues until the end of the paid period.

  23. Refunds

    Except where required by consumer law, payments for periods already started are non-refundable.

  24. Price changes

    Prices may change. Existing subscribers will be notified before a new price applies to their renewal.

  25. Third party services

    Payment, hosting and analytics are handled by third parties whose own terms apply to their part of the process.

  26. Service availability

    We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates and outages can interrupt the service.

  27. Changes to features

    Companions, features and site sections may be added, altered or withdrawn as the service develops.

  28. Suspension and termination

    We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, attempts fraud, or puts other users or the service at risk.

  29. Your right to leave

    You may stop using Tipsy Chat and request deletion of your account at any moment.

  30. Disclaimer of warranties

    The service is provided on an as available basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  31. Limitation of liability

    To the extent permitted by law, Tipsy Chat is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.

  32. Liability cap

    Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to Tipsy Chat in the twelve months preceding the relevant claim.

  33. Indemnity

    You agree to hold Tipsy Chat harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.

  34. Privacy

    Your use of the service is also governed by the Tipsy Chat Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

  35. Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place of our establishment, without regard to conflict of law rules.

  36. Severability

    If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

  37. Entire agreement

    These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Tipsy Chat regarding the service.

  38. Updates to the terms

    We may revise these terms. Continued use after the revision date shown above means you accept the updated version.
